It's a wonderful life

I'm copying this from an old blog on myspace...it's just too nice to forget. I could add things to it, but it's perfect the way it is, because of what it meant to me at the time. I hope you enjoy reading it...

Sometimes you have to sit and wonder about the good things in your life. The things you've done. The things you've experienced. The things that may have brought a smile to your face, or a giggle, or just amused you for reasons that others wouldn't know. The places you've been. The things you've said. The friends you've made.

They all add up to your life being something. Meaning something...if not to you, then to the people around you.

I've thought long...very long...and hard about this blog. Because, I needed something to make me realise that just being here hasn't been a waste of time. That maybe I've made a difference somehow...to someone, somewhere.

I really hope you read all of these. These are the things that have made me smile, made me happy, made me thoughtful, made me bounce, grin, sing, dance and everything that everyone says they like about me...

Seen the total eclipse of the sun. Seen the total eclipse of the moon. Seen a comet. Wished on a star. Ridden a camel. Rode a horse. Been on a plane. Yelled at the top of my lungs. Held a snake. Played archery. Fired a pistol. Played kiss chase. Sung in the shower. Gave a foot massage. Received a foot massage. Saved a spider. Had a pet dog. Been to Germany. Felt an earth tremor. Broken a bone. Got drunk. Invented a cocktail. Shopped. Been to Wembley Stadium. Made a promise and kept it. Worn black. Climbed a wall. Absailed. Been on a river boat cruise. Travelled first class. Had my heartbroken. Read 'A brief history of time'. Slept naked. Painted a room. Wrote poetry. Moshed. Stolen something from the stage at a gig. Danced. Met famous people. Doodled. Flashed at people. Been on a rollercoaster ride. Worn a hat. Blagged a free train journey. Been stranded. Talked to strangers. Been on radio 1. Kissed in the rain. Been to Loch Ness. Driven a 4x4 Range Rover into a stream. Motivated a friend. Won a prize. Touched Stonehenge. Believed in something. Had a wish come true. Been in a car accident. Had a parrot on my shoulder. Gone bowling. Shopped in Camden Town. Seen the sunrise over the horizon. Watched the sunset. Eaten Al Fresco. Been to the cinema. Gotten discount...just because. Been there for a friend in need. Been in a play. Sung on karaoke. Sung live on stage with a drummer and an organist. Been shy. Had breakfast with a stranger. Been in love. Baked a cake. Laughed at a funeral. Tripped walking upstairs. Fallen downstairs. Been carried to bed. Made a snowman. Made my own Christmas cards. Walked down the isle. Doodled on people. Been to a sunny rock festival. Been to a muddy rock festival. Watched a scary film alone. Made a home video. Been in a dance show. Made animal sounds. Been on a train. Gotten motion sickness from playing computer games. Been to the Scilly Isles. Gotten car sick. Thrown up from too much alcohol. Been to the Canary Islands. Fired a rifle. Dyed my hair. Had a perm. Played dress up. Been in a parade. Was a Majorette. Flown above clouds. Kept secrets. Danced with my dad. Made someone smile. Helped someone just because I could. Been easily amused. Made a a 3-course meal. Enjoyed a powercut. Watched lightning. Listened to thunder. Danced in the rain. Comforted a stranger. Given someone my last Rolo. Skipped. Made birthday cards. Sung along even if I didn't know the words. Talked along to a movie. Painted my nails while stood on a moving train. Swum in the sea. Worn a street cone on my head. Won on a scratchcard. Been confused by science. Sat at a pool bar. Been bridesmaid. Felt loved. Drunk champagne in a swanky bar. Asked for directions. Given directions. Worn a helmet. Rode a quad bike. Sat on a motorbike. Carried a friend. Given a neck massage. Given up my seat for an elderly person. Had crutches. Fallen out of a pub. Been to the circus. Been to the zoo. Talked to plants. Cherished something 'Just Because'. Been to a sci-fi con. Taken photos of skinny dippers. Been mooned at. Poured a pint. Been a bad influence. Been called a tease. Been on the London tubes. Been called Tinkerbell. Made a mix tape. Poked out my tongue. Thrown a plastic cup at a gig. Thrown a plastic cup with BEER in it at a gig. Had beer thrown at me at a gig. Volunteered to help at an event. Been ID'd. Marshalled at a motocross meeting. Played strip poker. Picked a flower. Stopped to smell the roses. Plucked an apple from a tree and ate it. Watched a butterfly emerge from its cocoon. Been on a see-saw. Held a gerbil. Stroked a cat. Eaten venison. Waved at strangers from a train. Been random. Been to Hamlin...and followed the mice trail. Ridden a pedalo. Shared someone's chewing gum. Fallen asleep on a promenade. Lost weight. Kissed a girl. Laughed at someone else's expense. Went clay pigeon shooting. Worn odd socks. Worn bunny ears. Had glowsticks. Been given back a glowstick from a member of a band. Sung in front of a large audience. Bathed topless. Played in the snow in my PJs and slippers. Caught a snowflake on my tongue. Became an auntie. Lost batteries. Given a stranger a smile. Remembered all 50 American states and their capitals. Been awake for 46 hours straight. Fed ducks. Paddled barefoot in mud. Been puddle splashing. Eaten ice cream in the rain. Climbed a tree. Stood on a human sun dial. Been to a same-gender wedding. Held a new-born baby. Danced while handcuffed to someone. Made sandcastles. Written messages in the sand. Posed. Been given a piggy back ride. Blown bubbles. Broken a halo. Made daisy chains. Given money to the poor. Been silent. Kissed a tree. Dressed as a pirate. Dressed up as a clown. Sucked a lemon. Bitten someone. Bounced on a bed. Downed a bottle of alcopop in 9 seconds. Had de ja vu. Won at bingo. Called Bingo. Been on a road trip. Been thrilled travelling at 128mph. Done a car boot sale. Been to Wales. Had a photo published in a national newspaper. Stared directly into the sun. Made soup. Seen porpoises swim alongside us. Seen the Magna Carta. Been inside Salisbury Cathedral. Shopped in Glasgow. Got lost in London. Burnt my mouth on a pizza and screamed like Michael Jackson in Manchester. Been to Land's End. Been to the Island of Ghia. Been to Alton Towers. Got drenched in the rain. Waved at strangers from the back of a bus. Been to Aylesbury stone circle. Seen Boscombe Down. Walked on Salisbury Plain. Bounced out of my top while dancing to the Time Warp. Been made to feel special. Enjoyed time with friends. Worn braces. Been to Anfield. Smiled. Laughed. Lived and Loved....

maybe I really have had a wonderful life.

Most of those things I've done with so many of my friends here...I'm grateful for every minute that each of you has made me happy.
